Nationwide Project

One out of seven children between 3 and 17 years is overweight and 40 % of all pupils suffer from seriously bad posture. These trends are on the increase. These facts have inspired us to develop ways of using social commitment as a motivator to improve lifestyles and keep children active.

1st Topic: Social Commitment

SOS Children’s Villages charity work can be discussed in school lessons as applicable with the help of information and presentation materials.

2nd Topic: Activity and Nutrition

In addition to fundraising for charity we started an education campaign called “fit and healthy through activity and a balanced diet”. Its goal is to help parents, teachers and pupils to become more aware of the significance of a balanced diet and moderate activity for a healthy lifestyle. Here we offer information about energy balance, activity tracking and exercises for every day.

3rd Topic: Social Inclusion

Every child and teenager in every school, no matter whether they have special needs or behavioural problems are invited to take part. All that counts is the commitment and the desire to help others.
