SOS Children’s Villages – a loving home for every child

The donations generated by “Kids Run for Kids“ support the charity SOS Children’s Villages. SOS Children’s Villages were founded in Austria in 1949 by Hermann Gmeiner. Since then they have spread all over the world. Today there are about 480 villages in 132 countries. There are 15 villages in Germany.
SOS Children's Villages is an international non-governmental social development organisation that has been active in the field of children's rights and committed to children's needs and concerns. Their activities focus on children without parental care and children of families in difficult circumstances. SOS Children’s Villages help around 1.2 million people, children, teenagers and families in need.
